The Banana Cable Co. was formed in 1991 to meet the growing demand for network installations. Since then we have established ourselves as a leading edge systems and service provider in a fast moving and business critical arena. Working with the latest technologies, we have the knowledge and skills to advise on all aspects of computer installation, from design right through to successful implementation of a networked system.

Every one of our engineers work within ISO/IEC11801 guidelines and all our structured cabling installations are 100% tested using the Fluke 4300 Network Analyser. In addition,we offer manufacturer's warranties with all our systems, and supply full documentation and test results on completion of all works undertaken.

COPPER CABLE INSTALLATIONS
Copper cable installations are the most common of our installations, and can be Cat 5e, Cat 6 or above.
The most cost effective are cat5e installations, this will run your network at speeds of up to 1gigabit per second. Cat 6 will run at speeds above 1gb.

FIBRE OPTIC INSTALLATIONS
Fibre optic installations offer the the ability to connect nodes over distances of 100m metres and above, or to connect different networks together, between building on between floors.
This is known as backbone cabling.

LASER LINKS
Laser links are used to connect networks over distances of up to 10 Kilometres with speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second where line of site is maintained.

WIRELESS NETWORKS
Wireless networks are ideally suited for areas where wiring could prove difficult. Wireless solutions are suitable for training rooms, classrooms, and hot desk areas.

DATA SWITCH INSTALLATION
An integral part of any network, we can upgrade your existing switches to run at gigabit Ethernet either with switch to switch connections, or across the entire network.
